This song is i wrote for IBEW (the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) in North America and is dedicated to the sisters and brothers of the electrician's union in Los Angeles... and everywhere.

This movement is your movement. We are here to help you to Bring Back the Sister and Brotherhood. We all need change and only you can help us to bring it. Please feel free to share your questions, comments, and concerns so that we may address them. We have heard some of your voices and are actively looking into how we can properly deal with them. We would love to hear from all of you. This is your local, this is in your best interest to help fuel change. As Frederick Douglass said, “Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will.”
We need to hear from ALL classifications including the EAA. You are all part of this local too.
Some of the key issues that we are hearing are about things like Apprentice rotation and an Apprentice/CW Council, making the vacation fund optional or at least add monthly access without penalties, and eliminating marijuana from the drug test. These are all doable things despite what you may have been told. They exist in other locals and they can exist here too. Collectively we have the power to change things that are in the best interest of the members. Put our members first. Unions were created on this very concept. So in fact was this country. The preamble to the Constitution of the United States begins, “We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union…” Brothers and Sisters, there is strength in Solidarity and together we can move mountains. Let us channel that energy now and focus on restoring power back in the hands of the members where it belongs. Be a part of history. This movement is not going away. It’s long past time to Bring it Back!
